Remember the post a few weeks ago mentioning the possibility that Apple was considering using Sony vgp-bps2 in some Macs? Well, it seems that a mere possibility is not quite a fact. The rumor has surfaced from the blog Macotakara, the same as aptly describe the new type of speaker iPad 2 a lot before it was submitted.

According to this source, facilities are being tested Apple MacBook Air computers A5 ARM processors, which currently includes the IPAD 2. Apparently the teams would be manufactured by Quanta Computer that equipped with a Sony vgp-bps5 and the company would be doing better than expected. Of course these teams would be showing an excellent battery life, and perhaps the surprise in Cupertino come by a power of running applications and processes more than acceptable.

The question that has me in suspense is what kind of Sony vgp-bps8 are you using? We do not know, but will be a specific development of RISC architecture. As one reader told us a few weeks ago, who knows, maybe Apple has never ceased to develop OS X on those processors which they are mounted in the day with PowerPC format.

I can not imagine what it must be the performance of a MacBook Air such as keep it up to the day that the Sony vgp-bps9/b need recharging takes months. Do you think that would be either a Mac like this? How Apple would solve the problem of incompatibility with current Intel Macs?

This report goes in stark contrast to one that Digitimes ran a while back, as they claimed that Apple was busy implementing newer low-power Sandybridge-based chips and Dell inspiron 1520 battery in the next generation MacBook Air.
